Today, enigmatic Irish four-piece noise-rock band Naked Lungs return with the announcement of their incendiary new single ‘Glitter’, their first new material since their widely praised 2023 debut album “Doomscroll”.

The band’s command of dynamics and ability to control and toy with both restraint and unbridled power has long been their signature calling card, and the new single ‘Glitter’ sees them continue to blend teeth gritting tension with fist-pumping release. High adrenaline guitar work and rolling drums channels the more groove-heavy end of their sound before giving way to caustic and crushing second act of the single, which leans into their heavier influences.

Speaking on the single, vocalist Tom Brady says, “Glitter is about denial - watching people bury their heads in the sand to hide from the chaos right in front of them. Clinging to fear and loud opinions because it lets them avoid the truth. Integrity got left behind, quick fixes took over, and real accountability became indifference. The world is on fire, and too many are asking, “Why should I care?”

Before even releasing a song, Naked Lungs had already built a live word-of-mouth reputation that many of their peers could only hope for. Their 2022 S/T EP saw them go on to earn high praise from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, and Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop, as well as a year of high-profile gigs, including two sold-out Therapy? supports, a successful headline UK tour, and several sold-out Dublin headline shows. Their subsequent Daniel Fox-produced debut album saw them compound this landing a spot in 2023’s NME 100, alongside widespread press support. The band followed this with a packed out 16 date UK headline tour and several festival slots, playing 2000Trees, Supersonic Paris, Left Of The Dial Rotterdam, The Great Escape, Otherside, Mutations, and Eindhoven.

In the time since, the band have been fervently writing with this release marking the first in a series of more to come in 2026. More info to be announced in due course.
