Today, Hajk have announced their brand new track 'Untouch' which you can listen to at DIY Magazine now before the official release tomorrow via Jansen.

DIY Magazine described the new single as combining "languid yet powerful harmonies and piano melodies with a soaring hook and synth lines."

Hajk have said: "This song is about experiencing sudden changes in a relationship - from trusting and depending on each other, to being all alone. Sometimes it will feel so overwhelming that you wish you’d never met in the first place. Or at least you’re wishing that you were able to foresee what was going to happen."

'Untouch' is a delight to fans of their debut self-titled album that was released in the Spring of 2017 to critical acclaim. Take a listen below.

Hajk's first single ‘Magazine’ premiered with Noisey and had waves of support then on from the likes of Stereogum, The Guardian, DIY, Hilly Dilly and more, even making Indie Shuffle’s top 10 indie rock songs of the entire year, they’ve now got 165K plays on just that one track and The Line Of Best Fit named their album “one of the best debuts of the year”.

Hajk are fronted by Preben Sælid Andersen and Sigrid Aase, who share the vocals, while Johan Nord (drums), Knut Olav Buverud Sandvik (bass) and Einar Næss Haugeth (keys) are the band’s backbone.

The band have emerged with an off-beat, honest, sound that clicks into place and somehow combines the smooth and the sharp into a perfectly complete electro-pop feel that casts a mischievous glance at influences such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Dirty Projectors and ANIMA!.
