"Consistently brilliant live" - Dean Jackson, BBC Introducing
"Outrageously catchy melodies" - Mark Riley, BBC 6 Music

Originally the brainchild of Adam Clarkson (guitar and vocals) and multi-instrumentalist Miles Clark (guitar, trumpet, melodica, accordion, violin, and vocals), Captain Dangerous soon enlisted the talents of bassist Mark Houlgate, drummer and percussionist Jamie Elliott and accomplished jazz/classical violinist Rob Rosa to create a bristling energy and richness of sound that knocks audiences for six at every gig.

Mopping up fans at support slots for Ash, Marina and the Diamonds, The Magic Numbers, The Rumble Strips, Dirty Pretty Things, Lightspeed Champion and The Holloways, the band have garnered a hard-won reputation for uniquely heartfelt lyrics and joyous emotional pyrotechnics. Possessed of a natural enthusiasm and diligent work ethic, Captain Dangerous have taken their wry, soul searching melodies to audiences far and wide, playing everywhere from UK festival spots (on the BBC Introducing stage and at Levi's One To Watch tour) to a decommissioned nuclear fallout shelter thirty-three meters under the streets of central Prague.

Disheveled, roguish and instantly likeable, this motley five-piece can often be seen jostling for space on stage as the Captain Dangerous line-up swells to accommodate viola, trombone and cello, bringing an orchestral swoon and bombast to the band's winning quirk-pop anthems. A maelstrom of indie-rock sincerity, laconic poetry and spine-tingling frailty, Captain Dangerous are not a band you can afford to miss. Recently signed to I'm Not From London Records, Captain Dangerous are currently gearing up for the July 4 release of their next single, Forgive Us We’re British, and subsequent UK / Euro tour.

Vocalist and guitarist Adam Clarkson says:

"We're very excited to be working with I'm Not from London Records who have been the best D.I.Y musical force in Nottingham for years. They're the perfect match for us and they’re always about throwing the best parties, and never afraid to try something new”.
