New single from Heathers

Heathers: Slices of Palama
Out January 24th through ADA Global
Heathers are 20 year old twin sisters Ellie and Louise Macnamara. Their debut album 'Here, Not There' garnered serious praise amongst both fans and media alike, and following a very successful Irish debut, the band’s second single “Slices Of Palama” will be released on January 24th. The song title is a reference to their close friends from childhood the Fitzgeralds, also female twins, who they used to call “Palama” and “Slices”.

2008 and 2009 saw the girls embark on two month-long tours of America with underground folk duo Ghost Mice while they have also supported Kimya Dawson of 'The Moldy Peaches' in London.

The great reactions to their album led to Heathers' being invited to perform at CMJ festival in New York and at Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
They also performed at Ireland’s largest music festival – Oxegen – in 2009 and will play one of the world’s best festivals - Electric Picnic - along with others throughout this summer.  In June they performed to 20,000 people for the Opening Ceremony of Special Olympics 2010.

The band have also toured extensively with Paolo Nutini in Ireland and on selected dates in the UK – and will be Ireland’s representative at 2011’s Eurosonic festival in The Netherlands.

A precious proposition, Heathers are both euphoric and entirely organic. They deserve your attention far more than most.
