10 CC release 40th anniversary box set
Box set release: 10 CC, Tenology
To mark the 40th anniversary of their formation in Stockport in 1972, Universal Music will release a five-disc box set, Tenology, by era-defining pop maestros 10cc on 19th November 2012. Curated by the four original members – Lol Creme, Kevin Godley, Graham Gouldman and Eric Stewart, >Tenology features four CDs (two discs of singles, one of selected album tracks, and a further one of B-sides and rarities) and a DVD (featuring all the groundbreaking promo videos and TV performances on Top Of The Pops, BBC In Concert, See You Sunday, Six Fifty Five Special and Pebble Mill).
The packaging for Tenology has been exclusively designed – with input from the four original 10cc members – by legendary British graphic designer Storm Thorgerson, who, as part of Hipgnosis, worked extensively with the band in the 70s and later designed the band’s ’95 album Mirror Mirror. The set also contains a 8500 word essay by Guardian writer and lifelong fan, Paul Lester, and features new interviews.
