"It sounds like a man on a high wire being bothered by a swarm of midges (or was that midgets) like you were trying to shake the lyrics out of your head" - Steve Lamacq, BBC 6 Music

"Tight powerful music that is so passionate it sounds like it might explode" - Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

"Up next a band called Rapids! who I watched at the weekend. They're well good!" - Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1

"One thing my extended time with Rapids! has afforded me is an increasing love for their EP" – Jen Long, BBC Radio 1, Wales

"This debut single (‘Fuses’) bops along to a carefree but angular beat before splitting the joint and launching in to a Bloc Party-esque chorus… ambitious and agile." - Artrocker

"Packed with a math-rock urgency akin to Foals and a dark, anthemic ability, Rapids! are the little brother's of Bloc Party with a more visceral, raw energy to them." – The Fly

Nameless // Faceless is the closing track on Rapids!’ forthcoming Fragments EP. Written in the band’s cramped and claustrophobic rehearsal space during the winter of 2010, Fragments perfectly soundtracks the daily struggle of life in a sleepy coastal town. With its gushing honesty and striking maturity, Rapids! prove with this EP that they are strong candidates for many Ones To Watch lists in 2011.

The band recorded in three separate studios during the making of the EP. The job fell on the shoulders of producer/mixer Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild) to collect up the fragments and blend them into one. As the name suggests, each song breaks away into its own bundle of fiery angst.  But it’s when pieced back together that Fragments reveals its true force, with each peak and trough taking you on a journey through a troubled mind.

To mark the release, the band will also headline an EP release show at The Bull & Gate, London on Monday 15th Aug - see http://www.clubfandango.co.uk/gig.php?id=2027 for more information.
